Inclined Screw Conveyor

An inclined screw conveyor generally consumes greater horsepower than horizontal conveyors, due to angle of inclination and the characteristics of the material conveyed. Inclined conveyors operate most efficiently when they are of tubular or shrouded cover design, and a minimum number of intermediate hanger bearings. Where possible, they should be operated at relatively high speeds to help prevent fallback of the conveyed material.
